Who we are
The Shimadzu European Innovation Center (EUIC) works with leaders in various markets to develop new technologies.
One example of the EUIC's activities is developing an analytical instrument for measuring oxygenated and nitrogenous compounds in the chemical industry. This project involved collaboration with global energy Company TotalEnergies, University of Pau et Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) in France, and University of Oviedo (UO) in Spain. As environmental issues become increasingly pressing, research on biomass and chemical recycling has emerged as a crucial theme for achieving a carbon-neutral society, leading to collaboration across various industries and sectors.
Other examples of innovation can be found here.
Let’s work together towards a brighter future by developing new technologies.
"All it takes is one innovation to achieve what you want."
「御好次第何品ニテモ製造仕候也」- This message was on our oldest brochure "Science Equipment Catalog List" published in 1882.
The EUIC was established in 2017 as a new department within Shimadzu Europa GmbH in Duisburg, Germany. Its purpose is to drive innovation by fostering joint research and development with key European partners, including universities, research institutions, and private companies that possess advanced technologies.
With our Corporate Philosophy "Contributing to Society through Science and Technology", we pursuit to realize our wishes for the well-being of mankind and the Earth.
As an essential hub for creating innovative ideas and developing technologies, the EUIC collaborates with research institutions and companies to create new value in markets and society. It brings together experts and resources to support projects in various fields. The EUIC also supports the promotion and growth of innovation by providing support for challenging projects. Innovation activities cover many areas, including developing new products using the latest technologies, innovation of existing services, and approaches to social issues. The EUIC plays many roles, including fostering new ideas and technologies, supporting challenging projects, and fostering a culture of moving forward without fear of failure.
We pride ourselves on our:
We’re open to exploring new collaborations and partnerships. However, we carefully select projects that align with our vision and goals. If you believe your project is a good fit, we encourage you to reach out. We look forward to hearing from you!
